Maia Shepersky

Hi, I’m Maia (she/her/hers), an EIDBI level 2 provider and neurodivergent licensed social worker with a passion for understanding what shapes people’s identities and how they experience the world. I bring curiosity, empathy, and a trauma-informed approach to my work, creating a space where clients feel truly seen, heard, and valued.

With a Bachelor’s in Social Work (BSW) from the University of Minnesota Duluth and plans to begin my Master’s in Social Work (MSW) in May, I’m committed to continually expanding my skills and knowledge to better support my clients.

What You Can Expect
In our sessions, we’ll balance structured and unstructured play to create an environment that’s engaging, imaginative, and fun. From playful car races to dramatic and symbolic play, I love weaving my clients’ interests into our work. Whether we’re trick-jumping on a crash pad or pretending to be pirates, I’m here to meet you or your child where you’re at, following curiosity and creativity to foster growth.

At the same time, I value moments of rest and regulation to keep things balanced. I incorporate sensory preferences into sessions, model by caring for my own sensory needs, and encourage clients to explore theirs in a way that feels safe and supportive. My goal is to foster connection, teach healthy boundaries, and create a space where learning and growing can happen naturally.

Who I Work Best With
I thrive with clients who bring imagination, playfulness, and curiosity to our sessions. Whether you enjoy silly ideas, engaging in dramatic themes, or exploring movement-based activities, I love creating experiences that are as dynamic and unique as you are. While I prefer active sessions with room for movement, I also appreciate moments to pause and regulate, ensuring we’re always working in a way that feels right.

A Little About Me
When I’m not in session, you can find me outside in my garden, on the golf course, or swinging in my tree swing. Nature is where I recharge and find balance, and I try to bring that same calm and grounding energy into my work.

Let’s Connect

As a neurodivergent provider, I bring my lived experience to my practice, honoring sensory, motor, and communication differences and making space for individuality. If you’re looking for a provider who will meet you where you are and bring empathy, playfulness, and curiosity to your journey, I’d love to work with you. Together, we can build a space where growth feels safe, supported, and uniquely yours.
